About CEDA Dredging Days
First organised in 1980, CEDA's trademark conference CEDA Dredging Days, has established itself as the foremost international dredging conference in Europe. It is a well-known and valued forum for leading researchers and industry experts to discuss dredging challenges, solutions, and experiences.
Traditionally organised biennially in conjunction with the Europort Maritime exhibition, the conference is held at Ahoy Rotterdam, in Rotterdam, the Netherlands (until 2003 at the RAI in Amsterdam). In addition to the biennial CEDA Dredging Days, CEDA or its Regional or National Sections organize conferences at a variety of locations.
CEDA Dredging Days is alsways well attended by scientists and practitioners representing the whole cross section of CEDA's membership:
- port, coastal and environmental authorities
- owners of infrastructure projects
- regulators
- environmental organisations
- conservation bodies
- dredging contractors
- consultants
- designers and builders of dredging equipment
- designers and builders of ancillary equipment
- academic and research institutions
The conference is complemented with a technical exhibition that is located in the area adjacent to the technical session room. The central location of the exhibition area provides organizations with an excellent opportunity to present their products and services to a select and focused group of international experts and decision-makers.
Other elements of the programme are a pre-event technical visit, accompanying persons programme and a much appreciate CEDA Netherlands Reception in the evening of Day One of the conference.
