A varied optional programme, including visits to cultural attractions and places of interests in Brussels and the other beautiful cities, Bruges, will be offered to partners for each day.

Dress code: Casual with comfortable shoes

Registration to the tours will be possible through the online registration.

Bruges

bruges_11.jpg (41.0 K)Bruges is the largest city of the province of West Flanders. The historic city centre is a prominent World Heritage Site of UNESCO. You will find some historical highlights around the square that includes the 12th-century belfry and the Provincial Court. Bruges has a beautiful 12th- century Basilica of the Holy Blood that is located in the Burg square, one of the city's handsomest squares. For more than six centuries Bruges has been governed from its 14th-century city hall, one of the oldest and most venerable in the Low Countries. The old Skyline of Bruges namely the Church of Our Lady, offer a nice panoramic view of Bruges and remains the tallest structure in the city.

 

Brussels: Surrealisme and Art Nouveau

Brussels is the capital of Art Nouveau and magnificent structures throughout the capital city are recognized as "world heritage" by UNESCO. The brilliant creative works of Victor Horta, Paul Hankar, as well as those of other architects, bring pleasure to thousands of visitors who enter the private world of these opulent houses every year. At the turn of the 19th century Brussels went through a period of unrivaled effervescence. The middle classes, merchants and artists opted to have their houses built in the style in vogue: Art Nouveau, marking the beginning of modern architecture and design. Hundreds of houses, but also schools, cafés, and shops rivalled for originality.

Brussels: Private City Tour and Chocolate Workshop

During this visit you will discover all the architectural beauties of Brussels such as its majestic parks, Art Nouveau architecture, the European district, attractive squares in the city center, etc. The 3-hour tour is partly by coach and partly on foot. This gives the opportunity to discover many places in the heart of Brussels as well as more distant places as the Atomium, Royal Palace, etc.

Part 2. Discover the secrets of the chocolate maker's work! A chocolate class including a tasting, a class, and an informative session in a relaxed environment. Guests will have an explanation about the chocolate and its manufacturing, they will visit the chocolate factory, learn the techniques and create their own chocolate bars with spices, mendiants (bites of chocolate with dried fruits) and spiced truffles. Of course, the participants will have the chance to bring their own creation after de workshop (optional). This interactive activity will take approx. 2 hours
