CEDA Dredging Days 2011

Dredging and Beyond

Information for Prospective Authors

10-11 November 2011, Rotterdam, The Netherlands

The papers must be original and should not have been published or offered for publication elsewhere. Purely promotional text will not be accepted. The Technical Papers Committee reserves the right to accept a submission as an oral or poster presentation. Authors must assign all copyright of the accepted papers to CEDA.

Prospective authors are invited to submit titles and abstracts (maximum 300 words; no graphics) of papers to be considered for the conference by 14 January 2011.

The abstract submission for CEDA Dreadging Days 2011 is closed.

The Technical Papers Committee will assess the abstracts. Authors will be informed whether or not their abstract has been selected for the conference by 18 February 2011.  Invited authors will be required to submit a draft paper (4000 - 6000 words) by 6 May 2011.  All draft manuscripts will be reviewed for quality, correctness, originality and relevance. Reviewer's comments will be sent to the authors by 1 July 2011. Final papers are due by 30 September 2011.

The submission of a paper and our acceptance of it as an oral or poster presentation implies that one or more of the authors will register for the conference, pay the appropriate fee(s) and present the paper in English. The presenting author (one author per paper) is entitled to a discount on the registration fee.  If the registration fee is not paid at the time of the submission of the draft manuscript, the paper will be withdrawn from the programme and will not appear in the conference proceedings.

The length of presentations in the technical sessions is limited to 20 minutes (17 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for Q&A).

The International Association of Dredging Companies Award for a contribution to the literature on dredging will be presented for the best paper of the conference by an author under 35 years of age.
