CEDA is a non profit organisation international dredging association affiliated to the world dredging association .this prestigious entity gathers the prominent actors of dredging and port construction industry as well as the senior civil servants engaged scientifically or technically in the dredging industry , maritime engineering and coastal protection.

CEDA-AS was created in 2002 and represents the African section of CEDA with members from the dredging community from Africa.

This euro-african organisation is the appropriate frame work for the promotion of maritime and port engineering activities and plays in favour of a better exchange of  knowledge and technology transfer between the region.

Theses associations are a forum place for the maritime world , they bring members to tie partnership links within the professional operators . through CEDA , the African continent is making its way to the international market with a view to keep up with top dredging contractors across the world.

The sections is made of a number of special purpose committees as well as national under sections such as Morocco , Algeria , Tunisia , Mauritania , Senegal , Guinea Bissau , Angola, Togo,  Gabon and Nigeria ….

CEDA-AS works for the sake of the same objectives as its mother association :
• Promotes the development and dissemination of professional knowledge
• Participates in developing international and national policies and guidelines
• Facilitates contacts within and outside the dredging community
• Enhances the public image of dredging

The interest of CEDA includes all aspects of dredging . it encompasses a whole range of disciplines and activities and does not represent the interest of any particular sector. CEDA is financed by member’s registration fees .

Members are drawn from many fields and include :

Designers , builders and suppliers of dredging vessels and ancillary equipment . Dredging and marine contractors . Port maritime and navigational authorities . Government departments and public works . Consultancies and research institutes .Educational institutions ; Towage companies. Media . Insurers . Associations.

Ordinary membership is open to professionals from any sector or discipline related to dredging.

Corporate membership is open to organisations , companies , institutions and partnerships.
